

The Shock Rifle
The shock rifle is the weapon that I developed sounds for in Advanced Interactive Audio course.
Unlike the other triggers discussed on this page, the shock rifle is a sound that stays with the player throughout the game. This means whenever the shock rifle is engaged there are different sounds produced from this weapon. These sounds are attached to the weapon by a scripted trigger. Meaning that within the program language script the sounds are referenced to the shock rifle.
There is script language for the primary fire sound and the alternate fire sound, as well as a variety of layers that are played underneath the prior sounds. There are also ammo pick-up sounds, weapon pick-up sounds and fire impact sounds. These individual sounds can be heard below.
