Ambient Music

I felt that the ambient music needed to be very atmospheric in nature due to the story line during this particular part of the game. So, I implemented drone-type music into the game by using the Unreal Development Kit (UDK) Ambient Sound Loop Actor. This is a scripted node within UDK that allows you to attach a sound, or in the case ambient music to the actor and when your character comes into contact with the actor the music will begin to play. Since the actor is “looping” in nature, I took special consideration not to have obvious repetitive sounds and also used a piece of music longer in duration to help immerse the player into the game play and story line.
